Question
How is a backup for Hach WIMS performed using DBAHelper and SQL Express?
Summary
Hach WIMS backup with SQL Express and DBAHelper.
Answer
There are two ways to create a Hach WIMS backup using DBAHelper.
The first way to generate this backup is through Scheduled Tasks; by default in Hach WIMS a scheduled task is setup to create a backup every night.  To run this task manually go to System Setup and click on Scheduled Tasks.

Click on the Task Description to highlight the task and then click Run Task Now!

Click Yes.

Click OK.

It will take a few of minutes to process, then the backup should appear in the backups folder.  The default backups folder is in HACHWIMS/DBA Helper/Backups folder, this can be changed by going to the DBAHelper.ini and changing the location line or changing the location through the Server Setup program.

The second way to create a backup in WIMS is by going to System Setup and clicking on Admin Console

Click on Action Scripts and click Execute! on the right of first script.

Click Yes.

Click OK requesting DBA_Helper service to perform backup.

Click OK When WIMS states the backup execution was sucessful.
